Beyonce shocked fans when she split from her father’s management company a few years ago, as Matthew Knowles had guided her career since she was a child. In her recent documentary, “Life is But a Dream” Beyonce explained the split: “I felt like I had to move on and not work with my dad…I don’t care if I don’t sell one record. This is bigger than the record. It’s bigger than my career. I think one of the biggest reasons I decided it was time for me to manage myself is because at some point you need your support system and you need your family.”

Now, Matthew is speaking out, saying he’s  “proud to see her as a mother,” on HLN’s Showbiz Countdown.  Matthew continued that motherhood was something “very important to her and to see her hold baby Blue Ivy—that’s something very special.” Matthew also said he was proud of her latest career developments, in particular performances at the Inauguration and the Super Bowl.  “I can tell that special thing when Beyoncé’s really happy. It’s a certain way she dances, it’s a certain smile that she has. And I saw that. It brought tears to my eyes.” Sounds like someone is trying to get back in B’s good graces.

Oprah is not entirely untouchable it seems, both in her personal life and as a businesswoman. While at O Magazine’s annual conference last month in Los Angeles the media mogul told a crowd of over 5,000 fans that she had overcome a breast cancer scare just a week before, having been told by doctors that it was just a false alarm. O Magazine has seen a 22 percent decline in sales since Winfrey ended her talk show 18 months ago, much in line with the 25 percent decline her staff told her to expect. With a smaller platform on her OWN cable channel, and print media experiencing a downturn, Oprah has come to terms with the possibility of the ending the publication. “Ultimately, you have to make money because you are a business,” she told the New York Times during the conference. “I let other people worry about that. I worry about the message. Jerramy Stevens, the former NFL tight end who was arrested on the eve of his wedding to soccer star Hope Solo a few weeks ago, was apprehended and taken into custody in Florida for a parole violation. Stevens, 33, was on probation for a possession of cannabis charge, according to booking information obtained on the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office website. Seattle news outlet KING-TV reported that a Department of Corrections spokesperson believed that Stevens’ probation allowed him to travel to the state of Washington, as long as he did not get arrested. Chris Brown and comedic writer Jenny Johnson had a spat on Twitter that has resulted in Chris’s fans flooding Jenny’s timeline with death threats. The feud started when Rihanna’s ex innocently enough tweeted about how old he looked compared to his real age. After reading the tweet the comedian quickly responded by telling the R&B star that “being a worthless piece of sh*t can really age a person.” Needless to say the hot tempered “Don’t Wake Me Up” crooner didn’t take too well to the comment and an embarrassing Twitter war ensued. Minaj has called Tyler (Aerosmith's lead singer) a racist after a comment he made in an interview with MTV. Tyler quit the show last season, right before the Fox talent show announced its new lineup of judges, which included Minaj, Mariah Carey, Keith Urban and Randy Jackson. If you haven’t heard the story of the Thanksgiving brawl already, you might assume that the guy with the swollen hand and messed up neck had to be the loser of the fight… that is until you see the other guy. Nahla’s dad, Gabriel Aubry, has finally shown his face after the fight with the French actor, but some of us are kind of wishing he hadn’t. A battle of the tweets erupted over the weekend, as Kim Zolciak and NeNe Leakes argued over the reason for Zolciak’s departure from the Real Housewives of Atlanta. Zolciak claims she quit, stating last week “I was eight months pregnant and there was so much drama; I just had to walk." The “drama” in question reportedly had something to do with a trip to Anguilla for RHOA costar Cynthia Bailey. At the time, Kim was expecting her second child with husband Kroy Biermann and declined the trip, calling it quits with the show altogether. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star begs to differ. Over the weekend, Leakes tweeted:“It's so funny how this chick wants people 2 think she quit the show! The producers no longer wanted 2 work wit [sic] u! Good bye wit the lies." Leakes continued her Twitter blast, stating: “None of the girls or producers wanted 2 work wit her! Saving face like all the other ex housewives! U were FIRED! Good bye.” Zolciak quickly responded, “I definitely was NOT fired from RHOA. I can guarantee u that!!!.” Zolciak continued that her upcoming Bravo spinoff disproves Leakes’s statement: “Bye hater!!!!
