John Allen Muhammad Set To Be Executed Today in Virginia
John Allen Muhammad is scheduled to die by lethal injection Tuesday evening at a state prison near Jarratt, Virginia. Mr. Muhammad continues to insist that he his innocent. The Supreme Court however has denied Muhammad's final appeal on Monday, making it likely that he will be executed at Greensville Correctional Center at 9 p.m..

Republicans Post Facebook Picture Of President Obama Eating Fried Chicken
President Obama is ever under attack by the Republican party for anything ranging from his health care policy to... eating fried chicken? The Republican National Committee's Facebook page raised eyebrows after a racist picture appeared on the group's fan page. A “fan” of the committee posted a picture of President Obama eating a piece of fried chicken with a caption that reads: “Miscegenation is a crime against American values. Repeal Loving v. Virginia.” Miscegenation or the mixing of different racial groups was deemed unconstitutional in 1967 during the Loving V. Virginia court case. The court's ruling ended all race based legal restrictions on marriage. The picture has since been removed from the site. And they say we live in a post-racial America... HA!

President Obama Receives the Highest Honor In Nobel Prize
President Obama has received one of, if not thee, highest award given… internationally:
President Barack Obama on Friday won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize for “his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between people,” the Norwegian Nobel Committee said.“Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world’s attention and given its people hope for a better future,” the committee said. “His diplomacy is founded in the concept that those who are to lead the world must do so on the basis of values and attitudes that are shared by the majority of the world’s population.”
Obama’s name had been mentioned in speculation before the award but many Nobel watchers believed it was too early to award the president. The committee said it attached special importance to Obama’s vision of and work for a world without nuclear weapons.
“Obama has as president created a new climate in international politics. Multilateral diplomacy has regained a central position, with emphasis on the role that the United Nations and other international institutions can play.”
