William Kamkwamba: The African Boy Who Harnessed The Wind

This is the extraordinary true story of a Malawian teenager who transformed his village by building electric windmills out of junk. He has co-authored a new book titled, The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind.
"William Kamkwamba was born in Malawia a country plagued by poverty. In 2002 William was forced to drop out of school because his family could not afford the $80/month tuition. However he continued to learn and to dream. Armed with determination and a few old science textbooks William embarked on a daring plan to build a windmill that could bring his family the electricity only two percent of Malawians can afford."
As black people in America, we have no excuses as to why we don't have thousands of stories similar to this one.
