Dwyane Wade Believes LeBron James Can Get To Jordan's Level
Invoking the name of Michael Jordan is a sure fire way to stir up
controversy in any basketball discussion, but Jordan-sponsored Miami
Heat superstar Dwyane Wade had no problem doing just that when he
compared teammate LeBron James’s level of play to that of MJ. Coming off
his first NBA championship, James is no doubt at the top of the current
class of NBA superstars, controlling the court in most aspects.
However, whenever a player is called into comparison with Jordan’s
legacy, the arguments are rarely civil. Ira Winderman of the South
Florida Sun Sentinel asked Wade if James, a three-time MVP, was playing at the caliber of the NBA’s greatest legend.
“He’s on that level,” Wade said, “but he has a lot more to do to get
there. I think he understands he has an unbelievable opportunity to be
one of the greatest to play this game. But that’s when he gets done
playing, he can say that.”
“Right now, he has so much more to cover in his career. He’s just
getting started at the same time when Michael kind of just got started,”
Wade added. “We’ll see how it all shakes out. I hope it shakes out the
same way. I’ll be a very happy man.” Read the rest here.

Chris Brown, Drake Sued For Nightclub Brawl
After living for months primarily in the world of gossip columns and
Internet innuendo, the infamous club brawl between Drake and Chris Brown
will now spend much of its days in the realm of attorneys, judges and
courtrooms.
Drake and Brown were sued for $16 million by a company with links to
the club where the brawl took place. The suit blames the artists for the
brawl and claims they are liable for what happened because they did
nothing to stop it. The suit alleges that the brawl sullied the club’s
name and harmed future business.
The suit, filed by Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., said Drake and
Brown were at fault for their part in the brawl “in circumvention of the
venue’s extensive security measures.”
While no criminal charges were ever filed, the fight at W.i.P. club
caused injuries to Brown and NBA star Tony Parker, who required eye
surgery and had to wear special goggles when he played for France in the
London Olympics. Parker subsequently sued the club for $20 million for
allowing a brawl that almost ended his career. According to police, the
craziness started after members of Drake’s entourage confronted Brown on
the dance floor as he was leaving the club’s basement lounge. Drake’s
representatives have said he was on his way out and didn’t injure
anyone. Read the rest here.

Vanessa Bryant Doesn't Want A Loser Husband
Kobe Bryant’s wife Vanessa Bryant refuses to be married to a loser husband - thank goodness her current one has a few rings.
Vanessa sat down with New York magazine and gave readers a behind the scenes look at her life.
On her fashion style (while packing for the Olympics with her Chanel,
Alexander McQueen, Louis Vuitton, Rick Owens & J Brand clothes
spilling over)
“I’m inspired by Ann Miller and Monica Bellucci. My mom dressed so
ladylike, with high-waisted knee-length skirts, nylons, and long
tailored coats, always on her way to work.” (As far as Kobe’s style
goes) For the longest time I tried convincing Kobe that he should wear
things a little more fitted. And for years and years he was like, ‘I
don’t feel comfortable, I feel like they rise.’ And now all of a sudden
the stylist says it, and it makes sense.”
On her typical day and having NO nannies
“I think people imagine that I sit at home with all the time in the
world to do my hair and makeup, but that’s certainly not the case. I’m
up at 6:30 in the morning with my kids. I’m taking them wherever they
need to go. [I don't use a nanny.] That’s the way I was raised. [I've
never missed a sports game or practice of my daughters.] Read the rest here.

Rihanna Hoped Public Would Have Sympathy For Chris Brown
Rihanna hoped the media would have more sympathy on Chris Brown after
the 2009 assault that left her singer bloodied and swollen.
During a revealing interview with Oprah, the 24-year old entertainer
admitted she’d hope people would be more understanding to Chris.
“I lost my best friend… everything I knew switched — switched in a
night. And I couldn’t control that. It’s not easy to interpret on
camera, not with the world watching.
I felt like the only person they hate right now is him. It was a weird, confusing space to be in.
Because as angry as I was — as angry and hurt and betrayed — I just
felt like he made that mistake because he needed help. And who’s going
to help him? Nobody’s going to say he needs help, everybody’s going to
say he’s a monster, without looking at the source. And I was more
concerned about him.”
Oprah’s Next Chapter will air Sunday at 9pm on OWN.

Bobby Brown Returns To Rehab
Bobby Brown is back in rehab a mere two months after remarrying and
less than six months after the death of ex-wife Whitney Houston.
His wife, Alicia Etheridge, confirmed he was in a facility saying,
“he’s doing great,” but did not elaborate. Brown is reportedly in
treatment for alcoholism after members of the group New Edition became
concerned about his drinking, according to Radar Online.
According to a source, Brown’s kids are his motivation to go back to
rehab. “He decided that he needed help and wants to make the best of out
of the rest of his life for his children’s sake,” the source said to
TMZ. “He realized he couldn’t do it on his own.”
Brown has had a rough year with the death of pop icon Houston and the
subsequent drama at her funeral. He was also accused of introducing her
to drugs and causing her addiction, an accusation that was very hurtful
for Brown, he said.
“It’s just unexplainable . . how one could, you know, [say that I]
got her addicted to drugs. I’m not the reason she’s gone,” he said. “I
was hurt … because, you know, me being off of narcotics for the last
seven years – I felt that she was, you know, I didn’t know she was
struggling with it still. But at the same time, you know – listen, it’s a
hard fight.” Read more here.
